Cross Connection Control Program

In accordance with Interior Health requirements OFID maintains a Cross Connection Control Program.

The purpose of the program is to protect the public's health by ensuring that contamination is not introduced into the public water system. This is accomplished by requiring the installation of a Backflow Prevention Device wherever there exists an actual or potential physical connection to any non-potable water system or any device that may be capable of imparting contamination to the public system. The Backflow Prevention Device must be tested annually by the holder of a valid Tester Certificate and a copy of the test report must be submitted to OFID.
